Hall of Botany: List

The Department of Exhibitions at Carnegie Museum of Natural History proposed a new and dynamic entry way to the existing Hall of Botany. With the installation of video display, the goal of the new entry way was to showcase the herbarium collection at the museum.

Inspired by the initial sketch provided to us by our clients (shared above), the existing dioramas and ongoing research at the museum, we discussed ways to tell a similar story and provide a looking glass into some of the Pittsburgh's environmental history.

After producing 2D design sketches, we also provided renderings that can help our clients visualize the installation and test different lighting options. We fabricated and install the dimensional elements and the lighting after the final design was approved. (images below)
